TV reception in Sorrento
Free-to-air TV in Sorrento comes from the Rosebud local translator at Rosebud, 12.9 km to the ESE (bearing 101°). It broadcasts on UHF (channels 28–51) channels 40, 41, 43, 44, 45, vertically polarised.
A standard-gain UHF antenna pointed ESE and mounted vertically (elements upright) gives reliable reception for most homes.
The regional main transmitter (Melbourne, 77.4 km NE) is generally not usable here without a high-gain installation; the translator is the intended service.
