TV reception in Corio
Free-to-air TV in Corio comes from the Geelong local translator at Highton, 10 km to the SSW (bearing 203°). It broadcasts on UHF (channels 28–51) channels 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, horizontally polarised.
A standard-gain UHF antenna pointed SSW and mounted horizontally (elements flat) gives reliable reception for most homes.
The regional main transmitter (Melbourne, 90.6 km ENE) is generally not usable here without a high-gain installation; the translator is the intended service.
