TV reception in Pasadena
Free-to-air TV in Pasadena comes from the Adelaide main transmitter at Crafers, 11 km to the ENE (bearing 78°). It broadcasts on VHF Band III (channels 6–12) channels 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, horizontally polarised.
A standard-gain VHF antenna pointed ENE and mounted horizontally (elements flat) gives reliable reception for most homes.
Pockets of Pasadena shadowed from Adelaide can use the Adelaide Foothills translator (8.7 km N, UHF channels 34, 35, 36, 37, 39, H polarisation), which needs a UHF antenna pointed the other way, a common cause of "wrong antenna" reception faults after DIY installs.
