TV reception in Felixstow
Free-to-air TV in Felixstow comes from the Adelaide main transmitter at Crafers, 11.6 km to the SSE (bearing 150°). It broadcasts on VHF Band III (channels 6–12) channels 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, horizontally polarised.
A standard-gain VHF antenna pointed SSE and mounted horizontally (elements flat) gives reliable reception for most homes.
Pockets of Felixstow shadowed from Adelaide can use the Adelaide Foothills translator (5.4 km SW, UHF channels 34, 35, 36, 37, 39, H polarisation), which needs a UHF antenna pointed the other way, a common cause of "wrong antenna" reception faults after DIY installs.
