TV reception in Elizabeth Field
Free-to-air TV in Elizabeth Field comes from the Adelaide main transmitter at Crafers, 32.4 km to the S (bearing 173°). It broadcasts on VHF Band III (channels 6–12) channels 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, horizontally polarised.
A medium-gain VHF antenna pointed S and mounted horizontally (elements flat) gives reliable reception for most homes.
Pockets of Elizabeth Field shadowed from Adelaide can use the Craigmore/Hillbank translator (3.4 km E, UHF channels 34, 35, 36, 37, 39, V polarisation), which needs a UHF antenna pointed the other way, a common cause of "wrong antenna" reception faults after DIY installs.
