TV reception in Image Flat
Free-to-air TV in Image Flat comes from the Sunshine Coast South main transmitter at Bald Knob, 21.2 km to the S (bearing 184°). It broadcasts on UHF (channels 28–51) channels 34, 35, 37, 38, 39, horizontally polarised.
A medium-gain UHF antenna pointed S and mounted horizontally (elements flat) gives reliable reception for most homes.
Pockets of Image Flat shadowed from Sunshine Coast South can use the Nambour translator (4.2 km SSW, UHF channels 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, H polarisation), which needs a UHF antenna pointed the other way, a common cause of "wrong antenna" reception faults after DIY installs.
