TV reception in East Corrimal
Free-to-air TV in East Corrimal comes from the Illawarra main transmitter at Knights Hill, 33.6 km to the SW (bearing 216°). It broadcasts on UHF (channels 28–51) channels 35, 36, 38, 39, horizontally polarised.
A medium-gain UHF antenna pointed SW and mounted horizontally (elements flat) gives reliable reception for most homes.
Pockets of East Corrimal shadowed from Illawarra can use the Wollongong translator (3.4 km WNW, UHF channels 40, 41, 42, 44, H polarisation), which needs a UHF antenna pointed the other way, a common cause of "wrong antenna" reception faults after DIY installs.
