Our technician Mark was recently called out to a home in Castle Hill where an ageing antenna system was causing both reception issues and a slow water leak inside the roof.
The Problem
The old roof mount had perished over time and was no longer sealing properly, allowing water to track down into the roof cavity every time it rained. On top of that, the existing antenna had taken a beating from local birds and the elements, leaving the customer with weak and unreliable reception across several channels. The amplifier feeding the system had also passed its use-by date and was no longer doing its job.

Before: ageing antenna with bird damage and a leaking roof mount
The Solution
Mark removed the old antenna, mast and failing roof mount, then installed a brand new tile roof mount with a proper weatherproof seal to stop water getting back into the roof. A new digital antenna was fitted at the correct height and aligned to the strongest Sydney transmitter, and a new amplifier was installed to lift the signal cleanly across every TV point in the home.
All cabling was tidied and secured, and Mark ran a full signal check on the freshly installed system to confirm strong, stable reception on every channel before packing up.

After: new antenna, amplifier and weatherproof tile roof mount
The Result
The customer in Castle Hill was left with a fully refreshed antenna system, no more water leaking into the roof, a properly secured mount, and crystal clear reception across every channel. Another job sorted in one visit with same day service.
